Agadir - Taroudant – Taliouin – Taznakht – Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate
We will depart in the morning in our 4 wheel drive Morning departure by 4×4 from Agadir to Ouarzazate, passing by Taroudant, known as “the little Marrakesh”, via Taliouine and then Taznakht. We will stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou where inhabitants still live within these walls and well as in surrounding berbere villages. (Lunch on the spot) In the afternoon, after lunch we head to Ouarzazate and after a visit to the Atlas Film Studio.Here numerous Hollywood blockbusters were shot and the sets are still mostly intact (Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Asterix and Obelix, Game of Thrones.) There remain only a few kilometers to the small town of Agez, where you spend the night in a riad.
Ouarzazate - Skoura - Kelaa Mgouna - Rose valley - Dades Gorges - Boumalne - Tinghir - Toudra Gorges
After breakfast we go to the road of mille kasbah with a stop in skoura to visit the kasbah of Amredhyle, then in Kelaat Mgouna we will visit the house of roses whose petals are used for perfumes, lotions and oils. Then we will go to Boutaghrar where we will find the nomads who live in caves. We continue along the off-road until the kasbah of Ait Youl, we will go with the valley to the gorges of Dades, where we make a visit marching. We return again with the same road to Boumalne and drive to the Todra Gorges. With its savage grandeur, Todra Gorge is known to be the Moroccan Grand Canyon with its naturally pink-grey gigantic rock walls that change colors depending on the time of the day.
Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Touroug – Erfoud - Merzouga
After enjoying the Todra Goges which is one of the most spectacular rock enclaves in the south, situated on the east side of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, this canyon is more than 500 feet tall providing rock climbing enthusiasts to experience the natural forces that once carved this region. About 50 kilometers before we reach Merzouga, we will arrive to the fossil capital of Morocco: Erfoud. Here we will have the opportunity to view the marble fossilization process and will be able to buy some beautiful souvenirs for your family back home. Once we reach Merzouga, we will take a camel ride to our hotel while we watch the sunset and admire the silence of the desert.
Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Tazarine - Nkoub - Draa Valley - Agdez
After breakfast overlooking the beautiful desert, we will pass through villages making several stops showing the making of local artisanal crafts. These include the making of marble from fossils which provides an authentic opportunity to see how Moroccans use their natural resources to make exquisite masterpieces. Next, we will pass through the Draa Valley which is home to one of the most beautiful and longest palm grove and river in Morocco. It is also said to known that the best dates come from this area. After this mouth dropping drive, we will arrive in Agdez where we will take refuge for the night.
Agdez – Bouazar – Taznakht –Taliouine – Taroudant – Agadir
After spend we will drive back to Agadir crosiing Bouazar road to arrive to Taznakht, which is an important center of carpets weaving. Our next stop will be Taliouine where we will enjoy visiting a cooperative of Zafran which is the region’s income. Before arriving to Taroudante which is surnamed as a small Marrakech we will be seeing Argan tree which exist only there. We will have a small stop to see the trees and continue to the beautiful city of Agadir in the Atlantic cost of Morocco.n.
