Marrakech - Kasbah Telouate - Ksar Ait Ben Haddou- Ouarzazate - Skoura - Kelaa Mgouna
After breakfast we leave early towards the High Atlas mountains through the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260 meters high) enjoying some amazing landscapes, we will go down to Telouet to visit the Pacha Glaoui Kasbah (Lunch on the site). We continue visiting kasbahs, we will stop at the world heritage of Ait Ben Haddou where inhabitants still live within these walls and as well as in the neighboring Berber villages. We continue to Kelaat Mgouna via Ouarzazate and Skoura which has one of the largest Oases that gives it the name of the Oasis of 1000 palm trees.
kelaa Mgouna – Rose valley – Dades valley – Dades gorges - Boumalne - Tinghir – Todra gorges
After breakfast we will visit the house of roses whose petals are used for perfumes, lotions and oils. Then we will go to Boutaghrar where we will find the nomads who live in caves. We continue along the road without asphalt until reaching the kasbah of Ait Youl, we will drive alongside the valley to the gorges of Dades, where we make a visit marching. We return again with the same road to Boumalne and drive to the Todra gorges; there we make a return marching in the river of the gorges between the mountains.
Todra gorges - Tinghir - Tizi n-tzazert - Djebel Saghro - Nkoub - Tansikhte - Draa valle – Zagora
We will depart in the morning towards the Town of Ikniouen where we take a road without asphalt and cross the Anti-Atlas Mountains called Djebel Saghro until we reach the village of Nkob (Lunch on the spot). In the afternoon we continue to Tansikht where the draa valley begins, 200 km of palm grove that makes this route one of the most beautiful in Morocco. Formerly this valley was traveled by infinity of commercial caravans’ precincts of black Africa. We will arrive to Zagora considered door of the desert as well as its poster "Timbuktu 52 days".
Zagora - Tamegroute Library - Mhamid - Erg Chegaga desert
We will depart in the morning towards Tamegroute and devote a visit of its Zaouia, ancient Koranic library, visit of the pottery artisans and the underground kasbah. We will continue our southern trip towards the Oasis of Tagounite by Ait Isfoul. We stop for lunch in Mhamid. Then we will take the track towards the dunes of Chegaga and experience a camel ride in the dunes. We will enjoy a night of traditional Moroccan music and dance near the fire.
Chegaga - Foum Zguit - Taznakht - Ouarzazate
In this day we will wake up early to appreciate the sunrise over the dunes and have breakfast in a very calm environment. On the way we will pass by Iriki; in a lake that carries water in several periods of the year, is bordered by cords of dunes and is considered an absolutely fantastic landscape. We get by then to Foum Zguit old military posts (Lunch on site) continue to Taznakht, which is an important center of carpets weaving. We continue to the direction of the city of Ouarzazate also known as the Hollywood Moroccan.
Ouarzazate - Kasbah Taourirt – Cinema studios – High Atlas Mountaints – Marrakech.
Before returning to Marrakech, we will spend some time visiting what is known as the 'Hollywood' of Morocco. With this, we are going to visit two important locations, all of which popular movies have been filmed.
The first stop will be at Kasbah Taourirt, once controlled by the Pasha and his wives. In this incredible castle was shot '' Rules of Engagement '' '. Although most of the films have already stopped shooting here, you can still enjoy beautiful ceilings with their original art works. If you are a movie buff, the next place will definitely be your favorite ... Atlas Film Studios will give you the opportunity to see sets of previous films, casting selections and who knows; maybe you can meet Brad Pitt shooting a new movie. After lunch in the High Atlas mountains and we head to Marrakech and end of the route.
